First District Committee Meeting
Nominations/Elections
for 2011
Wow! In spite of the fact Congressman Crawford was
unable to attend, because he was doing the job we sent

him to DC to perform, what an electric meeting!
A large crowd gathered for the first Committee meeting
and Elections for the New Year. There were about
one hundred and twenty (+/-) people in attendance.
The registration line just kept coming, and
coming and coming . . .
coming and coming . . .
Just like this post keeps going and going and going!
So many good shots were available which made
it impossible to include each and every one. 200 plus
photos are not what you came here to see! Paring
down the number was difficult. Still, I apologize for this
post being so large. I hope you are able to stay with it.

The Meeting is called to order
Benny Speaks, Chairman of the First District,
conducts business.
Chairman Speaks introduces . . .
. . .Richard Caster, from Mountain Home - the youngest
Justice of the Peace recently elected.
Chairman Speaks introduces Chase Dugger, Executive
Director, AR Republican State Committee who
spoke to the audience and answered random questions.
Also introduced was Velmar Bailey from Earle.
Mr. Bailey is a candidate for the vacant seat in
the 54th District. He needs our support.

Chairman Speaks relinquished the gavel to 1st
Vice Chairman Anne Moore. Here we listen to
Benny Speaks name being entered into
nominations as a candidate for the Chairman
position. Nominations were closed.
Mr. Speaks won the election and assumes
the gavel and the podium again.
Other names were offered by different individuals
to be considered for various District positions:
Elections were held, and the following were
returned to Chair their respective Committees:
(Executive Director Chase Dugger and Velmar Brailey
were not part of this particular election process.)
